For ordinary cars, choose steel; for high-end turbo-hybrid vehicles, go with aluminum alloy.

Select the structural configuration based on the engine type.
1. Conventional Household Internal Combustion Engine
Select: Wet Sump
Key points:
With oil-stabilizing baffle
The drain plug is at the lowest point.
Sufficient depth ensures that the idle and acceleration conditions do not result in cavitation.
2. High Performance / Turbocharged / High Horsepower
Key points:
Deeper, deeper structure; increased volume.
Strengthen oil-stabilization and splash-prevention structures
Aluminum alloy construction for enhanced heat dissipation.
Anti-rollover structures must be considered under high-G operating conditions.
3. Hybrid / Range-Extending Engine
Characteristics: frequent start-stop cycles, significant operational fluctuations, and a compact nacelle space.
Select:
Lightweight aluminum alloy
Low-profile / Compact oil pan
More stringent anti-tampering and noise-reduction design
4. Longitudinal / Transverse Engine
Horizontal placement: minimal left-right tilt; a standard baffle is sufficient.
Longitudinal placement: large front-to-rear tilt angle, requiring front-and-rear zoning plus stronger oil-stabilizing baffles.
