An electronic water pump is an integrated fluid-handling device driven by a standalone electric motor and controlled via an electronic closed-loop system, completely eliminating the conventional mechanical pump’s reliance on engine or vehicle-engine crankshaft belt drive. It receives signals such as temperature and pressure through the ECU/MCU and uses PWM or a bus (LIN/CAN) to dynamically adjust speed and flow rate in real time, delivering coolant or other fluids on demand.

Main Components

Sealed system (IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof, with multi-layer mechanical seals to prevent leakage);

Operating procedure: The ECU issues commands based on parameters such as water temperature; the controller adjusts the PWM duty cycle; the brushless motor is driven to vary speed; the impeller rotates, generating centrifugal force that draws fluid in at the center and discharges it at high pressure at the periphery, thereby completing the circulation; even after shutdown, the system can continue to operate independently (e.g., during vehicle start-stop or fast-charging cooling).
